Conveniently fast energy boost

Here at Superfast Energy Gum HQ we are often asked about the benefits of our gum with reference to specific sporting activities. So, this week’s blog is looking at the practical advantages for cyclists of all disciplines.

As outlined previously, it has been clinically proven that the caffeine in chewing gum is released almost immediately and is all absorbed into your bloodstream within about 5-6 minutes. With drinks, gels and tablets, however, it will take anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes to be effective. So, you should chew Superfast Energy Gum™ for 5-10 minutes before you start cycling, take it out of your mouth and dispose of responsibly. You will then reap the benefits of the caffeine for the next couple of hours with no gum in your mouth to worry about, no heavy liquids to carry or spill (and no extra ‘comfort’ breaks!) and no fiddly gels or pills to take your focus and attention away from the road or trail.

And, as well as the practical benefits, there have also been recent studies carried out on the efficacy of energy gum for cyclists at Kent State University in the USA.  They found that caffeine in chewing gum enhanced cycling performance in time trials when administered immediately prior to commencing cycling. Another big plus for Superfast Energy Gum™!
